Less Surviving. More Living.
You wake up already feeling behind, with your brain immediately running through everything you need to do (and everything that could possibly go wrong).
You overthink conversations, decisions, and interactions long after they’re over.
Your to-do list has a to-do list, yet somehow you still feel like you’re never doing enough.
You’re constantly comparing yourself to people who seem to have life way more figured out.
Your inner critic is loud, convincing you that you should be doing more, being more, or handling things better.
You spend so much time showing up for everyone else that you’ve lost touch with what you actually need.
You’re mentally and emotionally exhausted from trying to hold everything together.
You wish you could turn your brain off for five minutes and just be without analyzing, planning, or worrying.
You know something needs to change, but you’re not quite sure how to get out of the cycle.
Does this sound familiar?
Your Trauma & Anxiety Therapist near Arcadia, CA
Hi, I’m Miranda, LMFT
Life is life-ing, you're exhausted, and somehow you've ended up on a therapist's website. Welcome! Whatever brought you here, I’m really glad it did. Before we get into the therapy stuff, I want you to know a little about the person who will be sitting across from you each week—not just the therapist with the credentials, but the very real human behind them.
This work is deeply personal to me. I know what it’s like when your mind refuses to turn off, when you question yourself more than you trust yourself, and when experiences from your past quietly shape the way you move through the present. I know how easy it is to convince yourself that you should be able to handle it on your own or that maybe it’s “not that bad.” That understanding shapes how I show up in the therapy room—with warmth, curiosity, humor when we need it, and absolutely no expectation that you have everything figured out.
Because underneath the anxiety, self-doubt, survival mode, and everything you’ve learned you’re supposed to be, you’re still there. Sometimes you just need a little help finding your way back to yourself.
Therapy Services near Arcadia, CA
If your mind is always racing, you overthink every decision, or you’ve already imagined every possible way something could go wrong, you’re not alone. Therapy can help you step out of the overthinking spiral, quiet your inner critic, and feel more confident trusting yourself.
Anxiety Therapy
It’s exhausting when the past keeps finding ways to sneak into the present. EMDR can help your brain process painful experiences so old wounds, triggers, and patterns don’t have the same hold on you—helping you feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and able to move forward without the past calling all the shots.
Trauma / EMDR Therapy
When thoughts about food, your body, or what you “should” be eating start taking up way too much mental space, it can be exhausting. Together, we’ll work through the shame, rules, and patterns keeping you stuck so you can build a more peaceful relationship with food, your body, and yourself.

What To Expect
-
The first session is all about creating a foundation. We'll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what led you to therapy, and talking about your goals. I'll also ask questions about your background, relationships, and any experiences that have shaped you so I can better understand the bigger picture, but there's no expectation that you have to tell your whole life story or dive into trauma right away. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer idea of what therapy with me will look like.
-
No two sessions are exactly the same because therapy is tailored to you. Some days we'll process what's happened during your week, while other days we'll explore deeper patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be influencing how you feel today. Think of therapy as a conversation with intention.
Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and build insight that leads to lasting change. Some sessions may feel emotional, others may be filled with laughter, and many are a mix of both. Therapy isn't about having all the answers, it's about discovering them together.
-
Not at this time. I offer virtual therapy only for adults located anywhere in California. Online therapy provides the same compassionate, evidence based care as in person sessions while giving you the flexibility to attend from the comfort of your own space. Many clients find it easier to open up when they're in an environment that already feels safe and familiar.
-
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and create momentum in the therapy process. As you make progress and start feeling more grounded, we may transition to biweekly sessions if it feels like the right fit. We'll regularly check in about what's working and decide together on a schedule that best supports your goals.
-
The honest answer is: it depends. Every person, story, and goal is different. Some clients come to therapy for support through a specific life transition, while others are looking to heal long standing patterns related to anxiety, trauma, or self esteem.
We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work as needed. My goal isn't to keep you in therapy forever; it's to help you feel confident using what you've learned outside of our sessions. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you, and together we'll decide when you're ready to reduce the frequency of sessions or wrap up therapy.
-
Therapy can bring up difficult emotions at times, especially when processing painful experiences. But you won't be expected to dive into anything before you're ready. We'll move at a pace that feels safe, and I'll help you build the tools to navigate whatever comes up.
Next Steps
Step 1
Book a free consultation call
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation where you can ask questions, learn more about what therapy with me looks like, and see if we feel like a good fit. It’s a low-pressure chance to connect, get a feel for my approach, and decide whether working together feels right for you.
Step 2
Schedule your first session
At the end of our consultation call, we’ll talk through the next steps together, including finding a consistent weekly time that works with your schedule. Having a regular space each week allows us to build on the work we’re doing, stay connected to your goals, and create meaningful progress over time. Think of it as a standing appointment with yourself, one where you actually get to be the priority.
Step 3
Welcome to your healing era!
We’ll gently explore the patterns and parts of you that learned how to protect you, even if those ways of coping no longer feel helpful. Together, we’ll begin to understand what’s underneath the anxiety, guilt, shame, or feeling of being stuck. Instead of judging or forcing those patterns away, we’ll work with them with curiosity and compassion, helping you create new ways of responding that feel more supportive of who you are today.
